At the end of the war, so much of the world was in ruins and food packages were sent to loved ones in Europe who were at risk of starvation. CARE actually stands for the non-profit organization that started it all - Cooperative for American Remittances to Europe.

They have definitely evolved since then but the premise is still the same and just as important today. We could all use some encouragement and our souls need replenishment. Receiving a thoughtful gift that shows you care is so powerful.
